Logistics & Safety
How we move heavy steel safely from yard to site.
Distributing reinforcement steel means handling tonnes per day across yard, road and site. We treat safety the way the mills do — as a non-negotiable precondition to every load — and our drivers, riggers and yard crew work to written procedures every shift.
Safety Policy
Zero serious incidents is the only acceptable target. Every yard worker, driver and rigger is responsible for stopping a job that is not safe to perform. Management provides the equipment, training and supervision to make that possible.
PPE in the Yard
Hard hats, safety boots, gloves and high-visibility vests are mandatory in the yard for staff, drivers and visitors. Compliance is checked at the gate; non-compliant entry is refused.
Driver Briefings
Each delivery starts with a short briefing covering the route, the offload site, expected ground conditions, and the customer's site rules. Loads are checked, secured and signed off before the truck departs.
Incident Reporting
Any incident, near-miss or unsafe condition — yard, road or customer site — is reported the same shift. We investigate, identify the root cause, and update procedures to prevent a repeat.
Load Securing & Lifting
Bundles are weighed, banded and secured to flatbeds with rated chains and corner protectors. Lifting at delivery uses spreader bars and certified slings sized to bundle weight, with a designated banksman.
Environmental Care
Off-cuts and packaging are collected and recycled through licensed scrap dealers. Yard runoff is managed to prevent contamination, and trucks are maintained to minimise emissions and noise.
